omg why don't they value bet?????? I'm looking to apply the zachvac theorem of poker which states that when players who are not that good value bet a river and you C/R them they will call. But maybe the reason that is is just they never value bet anything but the nuts. When all the draws miss I'm going to call super-light so he should be value betting pretty thin here, TP no doubt, but of course I try to balance this play by also occasionally checking a monster through to allow me to check-jam but I forgot that balancing against fish is pointless. I just need to keep calling very wide (because if he doesn't vbet A8 his range is obviously super-polarized when he bets) and just betting my monsters I guess and forget about balancing against fish because they don't think about what I'll call with, they just see their own hand and that it's kinda marginal I guess.
