It doesn't matter who is what kind of player. What matters is what kind of player you are :)
I am always focused on myself and have never had any favorite players. I don't care how others play, I only care how I play :)

Martin Kabrhel is considered a highly skilled live tournament poker player. He has multiple wsop bracelets and millions in career earnings, often performing well in high roller events. His playing style is aggressive and strategic, though his behavior at the tables—like excessive tanking and verbal distractions—has made him a polarizing figure. Despite controversy, his consistent results and ability to compete with the best make him a strong and respected competitor in the poker world.

gotta agree with chat gpt here, hes literally playing high rollers as a side quest against professionals and he is putting belt to ass when doing so

I think his actions are legitimate and expose the very standard way his fellow competitors behave. I’m fairly quiet at the table but don’t have a problem when there is a “character” playing that likes to be table captain. I find it entertaining and doesn’t distract me from my own play and decision making.

Heard he dropped huge amounts with his Gomir Account back in the days. Probably just a guy with tons of money who can play everything he wants and not care about results. Most of his edge comes from stalling and being insufferable to everyone around him. Poker would be unplayable with 9 Martins at the table. This one he actually won when born:

It seems you either like him or you don't. Personally I can't watch the pokerGO stream when they put him on feature table and the one commentator 'Donnie Peters' just seems totally enthralled with Martin. So... I turned the volume off.
Last nights was particularly bad. Instead streaming the $100k PLO WSOP HiRoller (with Ike, Ivey, Deeb, Foxen, Negreanu, and some other total crushers) they chose to do some of the MainEvent day1a and put Martin on the eff'n table. The stalling is atrocious. The schtick where he was pretending to be cheating (last year... he rode this one for a long time), his interfering with the Dealers, his harassing the tournament director... etc. etc. It's just fk'n stupid.
And yah, I agree 'the guy is a clown'
Listening to Donnie Peter's man crush on Martin, 'or' listening to Jared Bleznik giving stellar commentary on games aside from NLHE. Is it even close????

I must be doing something wrong because I actually do just the opposite of this ^

Oh yah... 'gomir' is a HUGE loser for sure!
But in live MTT's he's doing really well. Currently he's sitting in #1 spot for WSOP P.O.Y. :(

hes a world class tourn player that can hold his own against the best tourn players in the world, lol, so yes he's up there.

but i do hear a lot of other tourn players saying don't forget to bring a pair of noise canceling buds or headphones to the table to deal with that type of player.

Its probably because im a little autistic as well but responses like this make me like him more, hes actually in your feelings without even having interacted with you. You are proof it's working, at least give him props for that. Btw if Ike Haxton could put a single viewer in front of a TV seat poker wouldn't be so dead, Pokerstars waisting money on an IKE feature Film (yes that happened) was stupid and now they are broke. 2m2m was also stupid because normal people only like funny nerds that are cool, aka Martin

You suggest 'it's working'... 'he's in your feelings'. Interesting take on what I stated.
For me, it turns me off of poker. I personally don't like or enjoy players of this nature. I actually don't like loud and obnoxious poker players... or ones tryin' to shit-talk other players on the table. I don't interact with them on their level.
I don't think players like this are good for new players in the game.
The only way it's 'working' for me is for me to want to shut it off. I think the guy is an obnoxious goof.

I do agree with the thinking that TV poker needs to be more entertaining to the casual viewer... but personally for me when I'm paying for a pokerGO subscription, I'd much prefer to be watching some of the top crushers in the World, ie. when there's a tournament that still has Foxen, Ivey, Shaun Deeb, Negreanu, Ben Lamb, Nick Schulman, AND with Jared Bleznick commentating this is my preference... not Donnie Peters man-crush on some guy I personally don't find funny or interesting at all. I think Martin is obnoxious & irritating and someone I don't enjoy watching.

I'm not sure how you figure this is working???
I'm assuming you're thinking it's because he's able to 'get under my skin' and I'm not even there interacting with him. Yes he does... while I'm a viewer. If I'm there in person it's a different story. I think he's a goof. (not sure how 'goof' translates to where you're from... but where I'm at people know what this means.)

PokerGo certainly has gotten the feedback that no one wants to watch Linuslove or some other nerd, they tried promoting them. Vogelsang is another one of "them" I cant even watch him as a German poker fan, it's unbearable, if someone would take a stopwatch and measure the tanking he'd be even worse than Martin. But he doesn't even troll, hes just a nerd.

Poker had Viewers, Players and Fans when it had larger than live characters, once the guys you seem to enjoy took over (ike was the first one, he was ghosted in the beginning and then 2 plus 2 made him "famous"...that was the end for poker, Some 15 year old watching that ike documentary is never gonna take his moms cc and load up a hundo to dock off.

You're assuming I like to watch certain players.,.. and you're listing off the most boring, tanking ones in the game.

This is what I like >> "Pussy!"

He is very good at poker, it doesn’t hurt that he’s a mathematician. That’s a poker mind set.

Martin Kabrhel is a controversial figure in the poker world, known for both his success and his outrageous behavior. He is considered one of the most successful tournament players from the Czech Republic, with over $11.7 million in live tournament winnings, including two WSOP bracelets, five WSOPC rings, and four EPT trophies. However, he is also one of the most losing high-stakes players online. Kabrhel is known for his ability to read other players and throw them off-balance, which has caused controversy in the poker community.
