If we could get real money for play money we would all be ritch.

If your willing to play that long and well enough to get a million play chips why dont you just deposit 10$ and win a million dollars?

Actually, it doesn't takr long to win a million playchips. The first 10/20k are the hard part, then just win a "high" buyin SnG and it's like killin' flies with a sledgehammer.

PlayMoney to Real Money Tourny At PokerStars

Guess, I'm not a good enough player to accumulate. I keep using my play chips to enter some of the freerolls that get me into sattilites that the top 8-10 get in real games with real cash. (total prizes $2000) You have to go to the tourny lobby and find the ones that link to the real $$ tournys, but I am finding them on PS. I keep dreaming that one day I will make it to the top.

sounds like alot of wasted time when you can cut out the middle man and play in the freerolls

I saw someone selling his REALmoney on the internet (you can transfer real money as well on Poker*)
so he got 10,- euros for 10,-Dollars, which is pretty good.

The reason certain sites and people buy play money can all be summed up in 2 words, Bot Testing.

You can not test a poker bot at low limit play money tables. The play is simply too erratic for any good data to come from it. As has been pointed out multiple times in this thread, the play is more realistic in high limit play money games than it is in real money low limit games.

You can not test a poker bot on real money tables. Until you get the tweaks right, your bot will lose you a lot of money as well as be very easy to spot by the sites software. Very high limit play money tables are not scrutinized nearly as much as the lowest limit real money tables.

This leaves only high limit play money tables for programmers to get quality data on how to tweak their bots to make the most money without being able to be detected. For them to do that they need millions and millions of play dollars to test with. They simply do not have the time to sit there and try to earn that much play money for their bots to use, so they do the next best thing. They buy it.

From what I can tell most of these "brokers" buy play chips for about $10 per million.Then they sell them to people who are too lazy/stupid to build their own play BR.I believe the going rate if you were to buy from them is like $17-$20 per million.

This has me thinking about opening my own website to be the middleman!

BTW if you are thinking about selling your chips,make sure to research the companies you are dealing with.There are plenty of them who will gladly take your chips for nothing in return.

I am currently starting to play for fake money at Stars to see how long it will actually take to get a million in chips out of 1000.I only have $3.80 in real money there and want to rebuild my BR.Plus I know that my money will still be at Bodog to play when I get sick of playing these donk 'n goes and donkaments.
