I was hoping they would put one in Saratoga for historical reasons....

No way!

That's no gonna happen although I agree that would be nice - nice locale, easy drive from populated areas like NYC, plenty to do and see in the nice weather. The people that make the decisions do not see Saratoga as a depressed area and that's what their focus is. That's pretty much the same reason why Sterling Forest didn't get one - no economic rationale.

I think it's short-sighted not to put casinos where they will do the best business but who am I. It all seems doomed to failure in my opinion.

I cant wait.......... lets go already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its going to be 20 minutes from my house, and I sure hope its done right. I am sad its going to be "Rivers Casino" and not the proposed Hard Rock. Hopefully the poker room doesn't suck.

We have over 150+ cash game / tourney players in my local area that have gone to the underground clubs. I can only imagine when this opens full itll be HUGE

Doing OK I guess. They just hired a new room manager. They have a tournament series coming up 1st we in March w/ a $100K GTD.
