 I learnt a lot very quickly when first moving to america especially with cuss/swear words, the first time I used the term ****** was very wierd as everyone just looked at me like a was crazy, later my wife asked what it was. Americans do not use the term bollocks either, strange really as they seem very advanced in the art of cussing/swearing.
 I can cuss/swear pretty good at times but I still can't manage to string a whole sentence together the way the americans do, great people.

Few other terms of difference:

Pants in england are underwear in america
Pants in america are trousers in england
Fag in england is cigarette 
Fag in america is gay
Tramp in england is hobo in america
Tramp in america is a hooker (no not football, prostitute)
Biscuit in england is cookie in america
Biscuit in america is bread in england (or similar)
