To be a good poker player you need to have too many qualities, I'll try to present it to you :
1. Perfect concentration : You should never lose your concentration, you have to observe and analyse everything, in order to understand perfectaly your opponnents styles and habilitys.
2. Calmness : relax and calme down all allong the game, what ever happen, you should never lose your self control.
3. Good feeling : You need to feel when your opponent is bluffing, when he is weak... Choosing the right moment to bluff, to play tight, to play agressive...
4. Studying poker all the time : You should never stop learning poker : reading books, looking some videos, asking auther players about the right way to play...

I watched Spraggy raise with KK under the gun for 2.3 bb got called by 2 players
the button and the big blind. Flop is A 4 9 rainbow. The big blind bet out and he just
released his hand.

It shows tremendous discipline to do that . Just let go of a big hand if you believe that you are beat.

I hope that I make my decisions with the same level of discipline as these pros.

Patience...

In my opinion, the most important factor is having patience and knowing when to play aggressively, by the time you get more chips, you stick and only go with possible winning cards. I have been playing several times that way and I have achieved several cashes.

i'll mention just one: taking decisions depending on how much chips (blinds) you have , that's stack managing.

a) don't worry about your cards but knowing which opponent has to make the best hand or play
b) dominate with big stack but not a all in maniac

d) patience - some hands should only be played against the right opponents
e) Use your pocket pair sparingly. They are not invincible.
f) check if the hand is worth playing based on the total chips in the pot
