Music or No Music?

So when at the felt or just online do you enjoy music whilst playing or find it distracting. In general I feel like it helps me focus and not get impatient easily. At the felt in tournaments I have even seen people watching sports and even a film! Barely having interest in the poker.

No. I think anything else the brain is processing will take capacity away from your decision making. A bit like a computer, there are programs that run in the background without you even know they are there, but they are using up vital memory.

I enjoy listening to music while I play. Fills the time between hands. I think I do fairly well tuning it out when I get involved in a hand.

If you have a hard time focusing on one thing at a time, like me. Music allows me to be able to concentrate on just poker.

When I play poker, then I listen to music, music does not bother me when I play, but on the contrary helps to keep my head from tilting during the game, and I turn on and listen to music with every game!

Curing tilt with music is literally the only way I know. If I became deaf I would honestly quit poker.

I play with music and without it, depends on the mood well, if I play music that only pre-selected that as the background, or leads me in a trance.

Maybe that depends on what kind of music are you listening. If you listen to MTV and all those stylish rappers, it worsens your performance at the tables because you get ****y. So, mostly, I do not listen to music as it worsens my focus on patient, proper play.

music can help you relax, but someone can prevent it from concentrating on the game !!! I personally do not always include music when I'm playing poker, it all depends on my mood!

I watch TV shows, but I do not listen to music because of it, or it's too passive or aggressive, depending on whether quiet or active music.

My two opinions.

I always have the TV on whether it's a good program, news or music and so I'm running my sessions. But if you also experienced silence and there is greater focus, especially study the players and take good notes.

at the time you're winning it's good. but when it starts to lose hands in a hurry, I play in the notebook, do my obligations and play poker at the same time. With the practicality of the notebook with game in the room, room, garden, park, several different places that best fit my concentration in poker
