I changed my mind. Before, I used to say that music distracted me, not now, I got used to playing poker listening to music and I feel more relaxed.

i would recomend to listen to music classic or in other language that you don't know because the lyrics can destract you some how.

I just can play without music on live poker i have my earphone pluged in;

doesn't everyone? I play relaxing and "easy listening" at the beginning of the tourney (late reg), then a little bit more energetic between the end of late reg and ITM, almost house or EDM until the last two tables, and my "favorite list" till I win the tourney, or get busted.

I don't listen to music when I play it's distraction to me I like to concentrate on what I'm doing unless I'm playing in a tournamentthen it takes so long I watch TV or play a little bit music while I'm playing

I find I play better with the distraction of music -- it is definitely a calming influence. Also I especially like it at a live table when sitting next to a 'chatter' . . .

Poker without background music is a bit like driving a tricycle or Bieber without autotune: it will still work, but what's the point.
The music I listen to while playing is mixed, but at the moment I like to listen to Deep Dish and Mylo with their respective Essential Mix from BBC radio 1.
Suuuper nice.
In addition, my playlist runs mostly on Faithless, Queen and Robbie. And when you finish after a good session, you can sing appropriately on Robbie's "Monsoon": "I'm here to get money and get laid "
