I recommend KEM playing cards they aren't made from plastic but from something better. I've had them for about half a year and they are still like brand new they dont have any marks or creases. plus you can wash these cards with water and you can bend them and they never crease they are about 20-30 a pack of two decks but they are worth it probably never going to buy cards for the rest of my life lol.

I would usually close an old thread like this, but imo it has some merit.

I used to own a poker store, we seen the advantages and disadvantages to every type of cards.

Really the bottom line is that cheap decent quality cards were what ppl wanted. Things like bicycles were outselling kem/delnegro 10-1, mainly because poker players are a little supersitious and likes deck changes lots.

I love new cards. They just have that smell and snap for the first couple games.

The first time I saw KEM cards online, I thought people were crazy to be paying $15 or $20 for a set when I could get Bicycles at the drugstore for $2. But if you play much, you'll definitely find the plastics worthwhile. If you chose just one set, I'd say try Modianos.

I'd venture to say that over 90% of experienced players in this forum use plastic. Should do a poll.

I agree, plastic is the way to go if you play on a regular basis, even though I have yet to play with plastic cards that are as nice feeling as Bicycles.

We play at my house about 4 - 5 times a week and we go through about 2 - 3 decks of regular Bicycles a week. We had a plastic deck but eventually it wore out (with bends, cracks, etc.) after about 3 months.

But yes, plastic will save you a TON of $$ over the long run.

Kem,Modiano or Copag IMO dont go with cheap plastic cards. I bought a deck of royals and the were good for about 100 hands then they started getting sticky even after washing them.
