but it really wonder why ftp wasnt protected against that kind of attack

i can't believe it went down during an FTOPs Final Table.....how embarrassing? FT better figure something out...people willl just stop logging on after a while and possibly go somewhere else

Interestingly enough, DDoS TCP get attacks are fairly straightforward to deal with. TCP connections require a 3-way handshake to complete. Anybody doing massive GETs in a very short time is easily filtered. I'm suprised they couldn't get it under control quicker.
