Nice Bluffing Mr.!!

Of course all poker players do bluffing. I do also but not all the time because it's not that appropriate. What if it turns into a bad bluff? Damn I hate it if that happens.

I play in Fulltilt and I always experience these things. I don't know why they are that aggressive or they just don't care at all losing their money. Because they go all in even if they only got a very low hand. I also fold with that Q10 because I don't like my position. The other player calls with a AK if I'm not mistaken, and guess what, the aggressive one still wins the pot (I'm not sure if his cards are 3-5 or 4-5). Sorry I'm really not sure. He wins with 2pairs.

I also noticed that players with higher stakes will take advantage doing bluffs, betting 3-5 times the BB or sometimes All In. And you're worried with your money letting it Fold.

I've already read some threads saying they don't like FT. Is it really different in FT? help!

No it's not different.I play at both sites FT and stars and I see no differences.However if you happen to have an aggessor at your table just wait till you have a top five hand and reraise him if he reraises you go all in .Most likely you will have the favorite heading preflop.Just be patient and pick your spots.

You can't wait for cards to play... that's why it called gambling. most bluffing people have a standard play for bluffing (push all in or raise the same amount depends on the blinds), you just need to read them when thay do that. Of course you can't beat luck, but you have to play to win hands. I think if you play it real tight as suggested here, people will not call you when you raise when you do have something in hand.

I think what you should do is wait til you get a great hand and set the trap. If he suckout bad luck but if you had him you will win more than you lose.

Besides that kind of players in the long run lose their money cuz they're not playing poker, they're playing bingo

shafan, are you on crack?!?! no offense but i can't believe i read a post on HERE that says you can't wait for a hand that's why they call it gambling!!! I HATE to gamble. I LOVE to play cards with people who gamble!!! Just like Zack said, Wait til you have the goods then make it expensive. You'll still get popped now and then, but you will win more over time than you'll lose!!!

Good that you joined this forum because you still got a lot to learn...

Anyway.. going back to original poster... What levels are you playing on? Dont even bother bluffing in freerolls and anything lower then $0.05/$0.10 (although it works sometimes at the $0.02/$0.05 level it just depends who you playing with)... Don't bluff idiots who dont think about the game itself, they are here just to gamble, the point of the bluff is to have your opponent fold a better hand. You cant bluff them if they always think they have the best hand or they think well i`m here to gamble and maybe i`ll hit my Ace on the river.. those people you should never bluff, just value bet their ass off when you actually have a hand , because they will call you anyway...

A course big stacks are going to bluff more, bully and steal the blinds. It doesn't matter if it's Full Tilt or any other site. Pick your hands and play them. Once you go all in it's "luck" no skill involved, your pair of AA's can get cracked on the river just as easy as your pair of QQ's can pick up that set. Good luck

Bad bluff = a bluff with a negative expected value
Good bluff = a bluff with a positive expected value

Bluffing only works when a player is smart enough to figure out that he is likely beat and that doesn't have the odds to call. He also needs the self control to fold (no tilt) and a large enough chip stack (in tournaments) to fold without being crippled.

So basically, in micro stakes and freerolls, people don't have the skills/experience to determine that an under-the-gun raise from a tight player probably means that their pocket A/3 is beat on an A/K/2 flop and, they'll call you all the way down.
Or when five people limp in during a micro tournament, and you make a big bet to take the pot with your Q/J, expect callers. In fact, if you shove one of the dorks who thought it was a good idea to limp in with 9/9 will figure that it's a good time for a coin flip and call.

So basically what it comes down to is that a good bluff bluff is player and situation specific.
In micros, I only bluff if I have witnessed that a player can make good fold.
In any tournament I never bluff a tiny-stack as they are desperate and apt to call with anything.

I love it when you are holding the nuts and an aggresive foll gambler starts to bully to buy the pot, thats when if I am leading the betting and I try to make it look like an inexperienced scared money bet, it usually never fails to induce the all in form the aggresive gamler type of player, the I call or if possible reraise it and then turn over the nuts. That would have to be one of the best feelings while playing poker.
