So im finishing up with Harrington on cash games vol 1, and
i want to switch up the subject matter a bit before i read the next one.


I noticed im not too good at reading opponents so id like to work on that next. What is everyones suggestion :)

Mike Caro's book of tells helped me a little bit. It has picture's of some classic tells, and charts. Got a little mundane, but it really helped my observation. (Of course it might be a little outdated, as I haven't read it in a while.) I can copy/type up some examples before you look for it.

I liked Navarro's Read 'em and Reap I like Caro's as well, although the pics could use wom updating.

Stop trying to read your opponents and start trying to read their chips ?

And get realistic about what "reading opponents" means?

If you're only going to buy one book on tells, I'd make it Joe Navarro's Read 'em and Reap.

Simple, logical, easy to read, easy to follow and easy to apply.

Caro is good. Navarro is better. Much better.

beyond tells by James A. Mckenna. covers some good ground . i have read this one at least 4 times and still have to refer to it. reading a book is one thing. practicing what you have read is the real test.
