what do you think to include poker in the Olympic Games ??

Terrible idea. Now if someone ran a tourney series called Pokerlympics then I may jump on board. Olympics are an athletic competition and poker is NEVER a sport

I'm still wondering why poker is on The Sports Network (TSN). Admittedly a lot of the players are younger and do play other 'sports', but sitting on your butt for hours on end, lifting and throwing (flicking?) chips isn't exactly my idea of an athletic pursuit.

Poker in the Olympics wouldn't be so bad, but I think the poker olympic tournament should be played by non-professional players. Similar to what happens in soccer and boxing.

Most players would not be able to play as they would be avoiding the alchohol drug tests.
The Russians would of course be missing.

Cheap filler...and very similar audiences. They do not consider it a sport.

But all of this (chess, poker, dart) are games of skill. IN my opinion it's all sports disciplines. Poker on olymics? Good idea but with minimal prizes only for Olimpic title :)

although it can not be considered a mental game and a lot of random fee should think if included in other types of games together with other games like chess
