Just getting the hang of HEM and noticing my aggression stats. I'm a tight 11/10 with agg of 3 which I guess I like, but my question is about the flop/turn/river stats. It slides from 33.7 to 24.5 to 15.4.
Anybody know what this means?

well a main factor in determining how profitable it is be would the size of your c-bet, since that determines the price you're giving yourself. but anything pot sized or less (and i'm guessing you don't bet full pot but something closer to 3/4 pot most of the time) working over half the time means it's a +EV bet on that street in a vacuum. of course it gets a little complicated because obviously in evaluating any choice in poker we're looking at it comparatively. so you're comparing betting to checking. and checking planning to fold to a bet doesn't always mean you will lose the pot. sometimes they will check behind and you will bet turn and win, sometimes they will check behind and you'll hit something on the turn, sometimes it will check through every street, etc.

but basically 60% c-bet success is extremely high, especially since you're doing it a solid chunk of the time. anything much higher than that would be nearly unattainable just based on the math of how often a hand hits the flop, combined with the fact that you'll sometimes be up against multiple opponents. i would be surprised if you could sustain 60% c-bet success over the long-term but maybe at certain limits it's possible. if you can keep up anything even near that you're in great shape

Thanks blanko, i'm a 3/4 of the pot person myself on the flop. So long-term its a good stat, I had no idea really if I was c-betting too much but now I have an idea.

Yeah. Will move back to NL once I'm comfortably beating 3/6 me thinks. Not moving to 2/4 til I have 400BB's, it'll be a bit longer. Probably won't take a ashot at 3/6 till a min of $2k

I was due for a loss though. My graph has been going straight up for a week, so no big deal Still got $1100

On a side note how do people feel about flatting KK pre-flop. Is it purely a disguising tool or is it to see if an ace comes on the flop. If so what do you do if an ace does come?

what stakes you playing to be talking about flatting KK?

I'm only at 5NL so i'd never do it there, the players are stupid enough. I was just wondering what higher stakes players thought. I'm talking flatting 3 and 4 bets rather than limping.

Nothing wrong with flatting kings prf imo but it has to be under the right circumstances, a nit the folds to +90% 3bets opens from UTG,a maniac that like open shoving flops or barrels every street but folds to 3bets/re-raises ect.

But mostly atleast at micro stacks people open so wide and flat 3bets so wide we really should be 3betting almost allways with KK.
I also hate flatting Kings OOP.

As for how to play it postflop thats alot more complex, if a nit opens and we flat and the board comes Ahigh im folding to a cbet.
But other then that its complety situational.

Edit: Im obvs reffering to some one opens 3-4BBs and we flat IP.

I'm always trying to get the money in pre-flop with KK at micros, people turn up with all sorts, a recent example being Q9.

Also sindri if you arent 3betting KK vs somebody who folds to 90% then your probs missing alot of value since he calls/4bets the other 10% so say its probs top 10% of his range I cba to stove it but yeah probs missing value since he will probs call/ship AK/QQ maybe JJ/AQ plus alot worse.

I play at FTP now. Rakeback added a whole 1BB/100 at .5/1 or something, it was pretty sick. Effects aren't THAT dramatic anymore, but it's nice to get a boost every friday

I'm taking another day off but I think I'll be playing a proper session again tomorrow to finish off the month. Month looks pretty good so far, even with the $100 spikes the last few days.

I said nit infront. so lets say a 10/9 that opens 7% from UTG and folds +90% to 3bets means he is basicly just calling with AA/KK.
The nit part is the importend part .

I envy you.... I wish I could get Rakeback at FTP.. They keep promising me that it's coming, but they are still late to deliver!..... But as much as I would love to have rakeback I see it like this... When I play live at a Casino I don't get Rakeback there, so if I were a full live pro it would make no difference....

Yeah but if you're a live pro you're likely playing at a limit where rake is negligible If I somehow wind up at 3/6 before the new year I may move back to stars for sn, but I'll probably wait till 2011 for that
