There's an OFFICIAL Obama website called Citizen's Briefing Book where you can write about issues which interest you. Internet Poker and reversal of the UIGEA is now in the top ten. There are several threads on the website regarding this issue, but our impact is more concentrated if we post to the main thread, the URL of which is here:

In addition you may wish to go to the Poker Players' Alliance webpage and send a message to your senators and congressman.

Boost America's Economy with Legal Online Poker
Let online poker players in the United States play legally and without fear of prosecution. Reform the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act to exempt poker, a game of skill, from the law. Boost the economy by letting American companies and Ameican players make money and pay taxes instead of sending online poker businesses offshore. Protect online poker players by regulating the industry to ensure that no one is ever cheated.

This could definitely help. Currently US Banks are not allowed to accept transactions from poker sites and poker site middle men like netteller. Because of the state of the US economy, this can actually boost the economy with our financial districts are now allowed to accept these transactions. I know Obama has already haulted this regulation for review, which is a good sign. Maybe someone at the White House will have the vision to allow banks to charge very minimal fees for each transaction to the poker sites. Gives banking industry a little boost.
