So my parents threatened to kick me out if I go to Atlantic City (I live in New York).

What are some good excuses to sneak my way down there?

If you really want to go then think of how to tell you so that your parents can let you go without any threats, or talk to them so that they understand you and can let you go and wish you good luck!

I'm of the opinion that, if you're depending on your parents, you should respect their rules. AC isn't going anywhere. It'll still be there when you're totally independent and can make those kinds of decisions for yourself. If you can't support yourself yet, work on that first. Anyway, that's just my two cents. Best of luck to you in the future.

If you still depend on your parents for money and/or shelter you should respect their rules or be ready to take the consequences. Best thing is to speak with them and try to explain them that you don't want to gamble and will play reasonably. If you have some online winnings you can show that to prove that you are good player. If you are not successful player at least at micro stakes online i also advice you to avoid playing in real casino.

Have to agree with many of the others thoughts here on if you still are at home living under their roof, eating their food etc then one should listen & respect their wishes. Poker and AC will be around so no need to upset your free living style for sometime in AC

Like lots of things in life -- for each reward there are consequences -- Is not having a place to live and disrespecting your parents wishes worth the trip???
