watching plays of others learning their weaknesses and patience to me are what allows me to win.

so having the patience to disect opponents and having patience to play good cards at right times is what works for me.

i have tried to run over tables and people and just do not do that good so am glad i have patience and that i win at times

My opinion

Patients is a good thing. You usally place. Then you make your move quick on the rest of the people that placed with you. You prolly have to be agressive. They usally have so much more chips then you. you should be warned the final table usally taken. Hard to beat them. Unless they screw up their play.
I took my chance and got bad beat. Lucky i get a monthly check but usally its just place with mE.

I think it is the most important quality of a good poker player, because knowing when to call and when to fold a hand is a judgment that entirely depends on a patient strategy. If you play with an impatient strategy, your judgement will be skewed and you'll loose chips faster than you can say bingo.

Daniel Negreanu recommends beginners to not enter all hands and also not play long hours... a tired mind can play tricks on you and you can end up losing more than expected.
PATIENCE is the key!! Good cards can take some time to come to your hands!!

not only in poker... but it's very importent espeicalley in the tournaments... waiting for the right postion and make your move... even while you losing big pot and getting tilt you have to know how to relax yourself that you need to be Patient for not losing everything by just make an all in with nice hand... but well some of the game not up only to the way we play...

I agree that good patience is mandatory. I just recently made it to last table in a freeroll mtt, only two players had less chips than me and they were sitting out, so all i had to do was not play and wait for blinds to take them out, but I got restless and played a few hands and ended up in sixth place and the prizes started at 5th place. I should have just sat patiently folding everything until i reached money and then played.

Yes it is important...There could be times you might have to wait 5 or 6 maybe even more big blinds to get a hand...I've seen people who get impatient waiting for hands and start to play whatever
