I thought i read somewhere that people buy play chips? Can anyone confirm this and know if there is a market for Absolute play chips? Thanks

Try e-bay. the reason they are too lazy to build there own bankroll. If you search there are posts about this subject here.

I have heard of people doing that. You might get $1 per 500k play money. I don't know of anyone or anyplace you can find a buyer though.

This is still rumor cause I have not got to this level yet, but, I have heard that when you get to 1/2 million chips, or 1 mil play chips at FT, you get access to real money prizes in sng's for play money buy ins.

Buy or Sell PokerStars Play Money Chips
I have done it before on poker stars.
You can sell your play money chips on this site. You get $1 for every 100K in play chips.
If you reach 1M in play chips you can sell them for $10.

DJ you are correct. I saw one on FT 500,000 chips for a freeroll type tourney. I can't remember how much the prizepool is though.
