play poker in desk or bed?

i have my pc hooked up to my flat screen and play laying down in bed, i could not stand playing for a long time in a chair. just wondering how you guys play. Do you think you focuse more by sitting? or any other advantages and disadvantages

I only have one PC and we use a very comfortable chair. After my son starts college this fall; I am going to invest in a laptop for next year and I think it would be total heaven to be laying in bed with laptop, redbulls and wireless headphones to set the mood.

Wireless is great. There've been times where I've started on the desktop, moved to the laptop to play in the bed, kitchen, toilet (yup), and anywhere needed. Highly recommend it.

I always play in the bed. I tried playing sitting in a chair but after a few hours, my low back starts hurting.

I only have a desktop so unsurprisingly I play at my desk ! If you only learn to play lying down it could make live tournaments awkward ;-)

for some reason i dont even have poker installed on my laptop, i dont really like laptops, maybe i should so i can walk around.

Would agree. My laptop is a bit older (3 years mabye?) and warms up the family jewels pretty good.... I've even used a really fluffy pillow off the guest bed from time to time as a buffer.

I play in the bed most of the times with the TV on (not the best thing I know), but I can't concentrate playing sit down in the silence.

It depends on the chair. You need one that is comfortable and your desk needs to be right too. You should stand up every now and then to get you blood circulation going it will help you think better.. If you like playing in bed its your right to do so. I tried it once, I played like crap.

I play mostly on my desktop when at home. Sometimes I'll take my laptop in the kitchen if it is a long tourney and I am preparing food etc. I never take it into the restroom though. I guess I'm funny like that? I find my chair more comfortable for playing poker than laying down.

I try not to play in bed any more,i have actually fallen asleep while playing in bed,or should i say cat napped through 3 levels, then to wake up in a panic with drool on may keyboard. So i do not to play in bed anymore.

I mostly play on my laptop but still tend to use my desk and chair rather than in bed. I think I would drop off to easily if I tried to play in bed.

i think having the option to move around is best. sometimes when ur in one spot too long u mite want to move around but i think the bed is most comfortable

laying down on a bed while playing is not exactly what i would call the best circumstances. first of all ,because it is easy to fall asleep or get drowsy and as we all know playing poker requires your brain to be functioning always at 100%.

Second of all, you cant smoke in bed.(im a smoker) third of all.if ur tired just go to sleep. i know comfort is key when playing poker but i reccomend you go get yourself a nice comfortable desk chair(inclining) and play poker the same way you would be working at an office. at the end of the day, if your a serious player ,you must treat poker as a job and i dont think ive ever seen anyone working in their bed. just my humble opinion.
