Player notes

I have recently been using the player notes on FT. I have been noting whether some players are loose aggressive, tight aggressive or complete donks. what type of hands they play and etc. So far I have never payed a player a second time that I have left notes on. Has anyone else used this feature and actually found it usefull?

Most players here would use a tracking software. It's basically notes + statistics. I however do not use one of those, I stick to the online notes. I ran into some players twice, but it's rare.

Really??? I have thousands of hands on many players...running into them daily at all hours. You must not be playing very much or are only playing tournaments which don't necessarily have the same crew playing like ring tables do. I use notes on both the poker software and on my tracking software. Mainly because I like it better in the poker software for some reason, but if I am playing on my laptop or anywhere away from my desktop, I can always use my tracking software's notes because I can connect to it from anywhere through my server. There is an FTPNotes program that someone on 2+2 made that combines your notes file so that you can take it along with you, but I always forget to do that when I'm about to go on the road.

I like the color code feature at FTP and use them all the time when taking notes...

Eh, anything that a color coded tab in FTP could tell me I could get from my HUD with much more detail. I don't care just that Opponent X is aggressive because he has a red tab, I want to know specifics about his aggression. The notes give those specifics, as do the HUD(obv.)

I use notes for stud since I don't have a HUD for that.
