I would never play poker for a living, but if I did, it would be in Vegas .. I would never play for living online. It’s too unpredictable. You don’t have the option of scoping out people and looking at their face and try to figure out if they have a good hand or not..online you’re at the mercy of a computerPropane Goat said:
IMO, at least if you're relatively new to poker and you haven't figured out what games/ stakes/ opponents you want/can play to make profit consistently, online poker is your choice as it's easier to start/quit sessions, change tables if you think it's tough ones, easier to manage your bankroll... also you have different software to track your sessions that will help you improve as a poker player(if you take poker seriously you need this kind of 3rd party software to make it easier not only to study but also to keep an eye on your results...); still- if you have access to very good live poker games in your area, maybe where some business guys like to 'burn' some money, you can always give it a try and hopefully this will help moving up stakes faster, but make sure you don't play in private games where the risk of shady things happening is pretty high nowadays...Propane Goat said:
