I would play any Pocket Pair against a short stack every time, I have called all-in shoves from short stacks with Pocket 2s and won. I have also called with Pocket Aces and lost, at the end of the day you need to remember a short stack will shove with any 2 cards when they are feeling lucky, Ace/Rag, suited connectors even off suit connectors.
The thing to remember is you already have a pair, they don't and in order for them to beat your Pocket pair is they must hit the flop, you don't need to hit.
In a Live game I once called an all-in without looking at my cards simply because I had 20 times more chips than the other player, I had a stack of 60,000 to his 3,000 So I was calling with any 2 cards, I won with a 6/2 off because I paired the 2 on the river against his A/K suited Game Over!
