Alcohol and poker are not compatible only if poker is for you a way to make money. If poker is a way for you to spend time like in a casino, then one very well complements the second and gives deeper emotions.

This post made me realise the problems involving gambling. Lots of people advising not to drink... So be careful with yoir bankroll to not get broke with your games in poker.

They say that drink and game is not very good, that's what happened to me today, I started with beer, and then a good whisky, and my game went to the bottom of the pit.
Today I realized that drinks and games do not match, as well as direction and drinks lol
:D:D:D:D

Maybe it was because of the good whisky. Next time try with beer and bad whisky.

IMO, one beer is just enough to keep the aggression up without worrying about marginal spots. 2+ is heading to spewsville

If everyone is drunk then everything is okay. It will be a very good game.
Of course if only you are drunk then there is nothing good.

This does not fit, when I go to the poker house here in town, I always see players doing shit because they're drinking, so I'd better take advantage of the game over them. I do not particularly like drinks.

Poker and drinking don't mix unless you're not playing for money!

fun games

As a rule I don't drink especially if playing poker . We do have a fun tournament once in a while very low stakes with re buys where we do drink because it is just a social game . But other than that not a drop just like driving it affects your concentration

I'm not a huge drinker. When I'm playing in a casino I rarely ever drink alcohol while playing. Very few exceptions include those times when I'm up a decent amount and my day is coming to a close. I certainly never play while heavily under the influence.

That Demon Alcohol does a great job of setting off tilt spew in me. I've busted my roll twice now courtesy of getting all gambly in cash games. Oddly enough, I'm far more likely to get out of line and play cash when drunk than to play tourneys. Easy for me to punt off far too much money.

I've been clear of any alcohol for over 3 weeks now. Grinding my 'roll back the hard way. Not going to reload.
