Poker & alcohol?

When I'm working I never drink, poker for me is a part time job... I prefer to be well hydrated and have some snacks to eat.

If you think and feel alcoholics are good to you, no problem. Personally I would not recommend any kind of drugs while playing, for medical reasons:
Alcohol, Marijuana, Cocaine, all of these drugs increase the heart rate, makes the person anxious in the long term, lose focus and most of them cause paranoia.
We must look to poker as a sport where we must keep our mind and body clean and healthy. If you have alcohol or any drugs problem you should look for professional assistance as soon as possible.

alcohol is never a good idea it's unhealthy

it is impossible for your session to be profitable when you drink alcohol when you play poker, you should drink other types of beverages to keep you active and moreover, concentrated.

I don't drink alcohol when I play games.

It all depends on the amount drunk, a glass of cognac I think the game will not hurt. And large doses of alcohol lead to rash actions in the game. In general, if this is an online tournament, a drunk person can simply fall asleep during the game.)

I would rather advice to avoid. That is if you want to be able to play at your maximum ability. Alcohol like all substances that affect the brain chemistry, will affect the decisions you make.

Combining alcohol and poker is fun. However, playing poker half to death drunk isn't fun at all. Even if your behavior is otherwise perfect (which wasn't the case for me), the inevitable lethargy will get on other players' nerves.

Sometimes I have a few beers playing poker. But my real problem that I need to control is the cigarette, I really want to smoke while playing.

A sufficient amount of alcohol to make you not show your emotions is welcome as long as the limit is not exceeded where you are no longer coherent in making decisions

I think drinking alcohol while playing is bad. You start to relax and play inattentively. And this leads to you making one mistake after another.

one of the first lessons learned in poker they drink and at some point it can take the fun out of the game and you need to be there to win

I personally do not consume alcohol when I play poker, I feel that it would not let me concentrate and I would start to make many more mistakes as a result of it

As Emily Trott says, if you know how to drink there are no problems.
If you are a social drinker no problem.
Now, if drinking makes you aggressive and you start to have a problem at a table with your opponents or friends, that already becomes a big problem.
Usually when I play online at night, I always have a can of beer or a glass of malbec nearby hahaha.
Not many more than that.
