I read Winning Poker Tournaments and I think its a nice book for learn some strategies

hello i think every poker player have all time to study and u have under hand many ways for that.books, youtube twitch blogs , so with hard work i think ucanreach what u want.

Let me tell you something guys and I will start by telling you that i dident read noting until this year but i play since 2013 online poker. Back then i was the lamest online player ever; had no strategy, did huge fail hero calls and so on. But i dident give up and instead i just keep playin. I played more than 30k hands probably on all the poker interfaces that know and i can tell you that my job now is poker. So for me practicin is the key of succes and trust me somehow if u will choose the hard way like i did, you will get your own basic set of rules wich in my case was very appropiate with the ones u find in the books. Dont forget the people that wrote the poker books they gained their experience in the same manner so if someone can we should too, but shortcuts are always tempting

Which is in your opinion the top 5 of the best Poker Books of all time?

I think Audio books are better

Any suggestions on books that'll help me develop into a better 1/2 no limit player ? I have like 4 books that are pretty well known but they don't have a lot of information based on strictly Texas hold 'em no limit ( preferably low stakes 1-2 )

Dan Harrington came out with Cash Game books a few years ago. I haven't read those, but his Harrington on Hold 'Em series was some of the most helpful books I ever read for tournament play.

I'm a fan of the Harrington Tournament and Cash game series. They're about 6 books. It's solid, NON aggressive play, some say old school but it still makes sense to me

Love this list for sure. I didn't complete within this order. However, great in any order of course.

Mike, I love Harrington on Cash. Once you have read these. You can and will make any adjustments based on your game theory. These have added 100 Bigs to my play each week. Anytime you can average a few buy in's per week. I recommend doing so!

His cash game books will do that for an average reader!

Awesome. I just never got around to checking them out. Tournament books from him were definitely more helpful than anything I've ever read for MTT play. Harrington never had the reputation as a top tier cash player (especially in relation to his tournament achievements), but I've only heard good things about cash series. Putting on my reading list for 2017!

Never read Negreanu's books. That's a promising review/ summary, yelmopoker. I love reading about poker and strategy in general. Great suggestions in this thread.

1) Harrington on hold'em in 3 volumes
one of the most influential textbooks in the world in tournaments No-Limit Texas Hold'em. This is a mandatory three-volume edition for those who want to achieve high results in the game called poker. Books woven into many languages and repeatedly reissued.

In the books given committed and proven eras, tricks and strategies from the Harrington, the great expert in no limit hold'em. Dan Harrington was awarded the gold bracelet and the title of champion in the Texas hold'em tournament with an entry ticket for the$ 10,000 World series in 1995. 2) Roy Rounder. "Easy poker math"

I can highly recommend Dan Harringtons 3 Volumes "Harrington on Hold'em", greatly improved my play.

You should read them I-II-III, cause they pretty much build on each other.

STL PokerBum I hear a lot of ppl recommending his cash game books so I'm going to look into that but I've been researching books and came across one that was by Ed Miller called " the course " have u or anyone read that one and how does it rank to other cash game poker books.
