I find I stand better odds winning on poker than on casino games. Poker has some skill involved with luck and casino is only luck.

In a casino the house always has the edge. In poker this doesn’t exist so always better to play poker than other casino games.

Poker is sport. It's a game of skill. Casino is just an entertainment. But it doesn't mean it's bad. Just remember that you will never earn longterm in casino. You are spending money there like you would in a cinema, sport event etc.
Casinos in general are pretty fun. You can go out with friends, you can smoke a cigar inside, drik free alcohol and have a lot of fun. And it's not that expensive.
Assuming that you play roulette and you bet 10$ on every spin. On average you will lose about 30 cents on every spin. If there are 20 spins per hour you pay on average 6$ per hour. You would probably spent more just staying in a loud and uncomfortable pub. Of course swings can be big - sometimes you will lose 300$ sometimes you will earn 200$ or so. In the distance you will be behind but not more than you would be going to a cinema or a pub. Of course if you are responsible.

I am of the opinion that it is simple luck at casino and poker. It is important if you know how to stop when needed, in order to stay in the win. So prudence is the key to success.

I prefer poker a lot more, even because I feel that you can have more control. Casino slosts depend a lot on luck, aside from the fact that there is a fee collected by them. But from time to time it's nice to go to the casino with friends, to have some fun.

although i been hooked on blackjack for the past couple years i believe its a house game and house will always win. I think poker is better where skill is involved.

Craps has always been my favorite at the casino. But believe it or not...my ability to make money at certain harness tracks has been my best moneymaker. Watch the oddsboard right as the horses are ready to start. Bet the horse that dropped the most odds with the last flash. Usually that is the hot hand. But the horse will still need a decent trip to win!
