Hey dear mate nice to see you again! Hope you are doing well, it’s been a long time that I don’t see you around and I missed you.
Yes, John Nash should be a very good poker player, I saw him a couple of years ago, I can’t remember if it was 2010 or 2011, he was giving a lecture in the College of Economy and Administration (FEA - Faculdade de Economia e Administração) in the University of São Paulo (USP).
I watched the movie as well with Russel Crowe, very good to. Jennifer Conely is kinda cute
That's really interesting! Did you attend the lecture or were you working there at the time?

What was the lecture about? Did Nash talk about his work in game theory or was it a different topic?

Did you get a chance to talk to Nash after the lecture? If so, what was he like in

Hello. Of course I would also like to play with some of you to get an idea. (not with bad intentions) to feel what level some veterans are at (if I'm capable 😀). I am curious about those who affirm with good results, about stories, about administrators, those who can take us all here 👍

thank you, I'm fine, I hope your week was also successful.. I really value our communication, thank you for supporting me..if "I wanted to play heads-up poker against Sherlock Holmes, like a seasoned detective, he would certainly have incredible observation skills, body language reading and bluff detection." I would have learned a lot from the experience. besides, if I win, I can boast of defeating one of the greatest detectives of all time
Very good idea mate! But I have a powerful and keen opponent, that one which had laid the path for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: Edgar Allan Poe would be the best poker player ever! Did you know that Allan Poe invented the word ‘detective’?
Allan Poe also is one of the main columns in Game Theory, besides his influence upon forensic investigation.
There’s a fantastic short story named “The murders in the Rue Morgue”, which I strongly recommend to any chess or poker player!
Loved it, friendly hugs mate!

It was about game theory mate. By that time I was a student in this university, and I’ve just heard the word game theory for the first time. My English wasn’t that good that time, so I didn’t get much about what he said. Plus, I was with a cute cat by my side and most of my attention I gave to her, not to the lecturer.
I didn’t get the chance to talk to him, but he was very kind and open to people who get close to him.

Who is this?
Since you wrote that we can name anyone, this is just a fictional character. 🤷‍♀️The bottom line is that if I had the opportunity to beat death in poker in order to restore life to my loved ones, who, unfortunately, passed away so early, I would use this opportunity.

“Wow, I didn't know that about Edgar Allan Poe! He really does seem like a formidable opponent. I will definitely read The Murders in the Rue Morgue - thanks for the recommendation.

Wow, it's amazing that you were able to attend a lecture by John Nash on game theory! I've read a lot about his work and it's truly fascinating. It's understandable that it might have been difficult to understand everything he was saying, especially if your English wasn't very strong at the time. But it's great that you were able to have such a unique experience.

And it's nice to hear that Nash was kind and approachable with those who wanted to talk to him. Did you ever have any other experiences meeting famous people or attending lectures by other prominent figures in their field

Thanks for your attention mate, yeah I thought so, that it was a character. But my question was if this angel of death is a specific character of some novel, tale, movie, etc.

Hugs

Wow, very good opponents mate! I also would like to play versus Liv Boree, she seems cool and she’s cute. My knees get weak when I think about her, unfortunately she stopped playing poker.

Only Brazilian researchers that aren’t famous worldwide. John Nash was the top I ever saw in person.

I think the first time I shared a space with here I was caught in the background of a Poker Stars live feed were she was being interviewed... I was flung a manky marinated cushion across the tournament floor after reading how disgustingly smelly and age old soiled it was. I like a smart arse had gathered with the help of a few colleagues a load of cushions for us to sit on during this Ukipt or EPT event at the Hilton in Edgeware.... it was hilarious but I got a not so holler IOU’s rollocking from Thomas Kremser... it’s safe to say I never considered an attempt at joining his elite crew of croupiers and card dealers... Almost saw the door that day lol, he saw the funny side later on that Day1 of the festival.... His laughter over the matter was a well appreciated contrast to the initial death stare i received 😬😶🙈💨 The whole place imploded like I was in fly in a balloon being pumped up or something lol... Epic priceless moment I’ll never forget. Though a few of us tripping down the stairs and unload d a fee trays of chips was the worst starter for a few... random french dealer farted in the lift on the way up to one of the HR sat set ups and caused a domino effect of people tripping as a few hurried to escape as the loft doors opened... it was mayhem to observe lol... 😝

Seriously miss those days.. shout out to the shadows!! 😜😉

Hey mate, how do you do? I hope fine! I always see your posts here and there but I never got the chance to chat to you. It really amazes me to see you carrying a gun! If I had a daughter I would certainly put her into a shooting course and buy her a weapon in proper legal age.
Nice to meet you and thanks for killing my curiosity about this angel of death thing.

Best regards;

Hello! It's nice to meet you too, and I'm doing fine! :) I guess it is a little different for an avatar, but I fell in love with shooting at summer camp when I was nine. I received the rifle as a present fifty eight years ago on my twelfth birthday. :) It was the first firearm in our house but my parents were always encouraging and supportive of things that my big sister and I were interested in.

Having a firearm, and knowing how to use it, is very important...especially for women. They truly are an equalizer when facing an attacker(s) who possesses greater physical strength than yourself. The saying about Samuel Colt who invented the revolving cylinder handgun goes something like this, "God made man, and Colonel Colt made them equal." :) I'm sure that he meant women as well. :)

God bless the second amendment! I agree, and greetings to your parents for educating you to live in an increasing sexist world.
Hope you never need it, but just in case, shoot em up! :ROFLMAO:
