Poker Deposits

Most Online poker sites offer Deposit bonus's.

My question here is do you get the bonus as soon as you deposit or are their limitations such as Deposit and play a certain number of hands before you get the bonus owed.

The reason im asking this is whats to stop people from going to a poker room depositing , getting their bonus and then withdrawing their money ?

You have to play a certain number of hands before you can get your bonus. How many hands you need to play differs, though.

Yes I think that's a bite in the butt at times especially if you play SNG tourneys and the buy-ins,some places give you no credit for them. I can see a point to this but think that when your putting $$ back in,would be nice if they'd change policy.

Well there was a time when deposit bonuses were actually worth specifically playing to earn those comps or bonuses, now the wager requirements have increased overall so much that you are best served to play poker to win not use bonus money as your main source of profit.

In other words deposit bonus is a consideration in choosing a room but there are more imprtant factors. Reputation player base software game selection and cashout speed are what I mainly go by. Deposit bonus is icing on the cake, the wager requirements have gotten so stiff that there are several offers that could easily be called false advertiseing.
