It depends why you play poker everyday, if you play because you're having fun, I don't see a problem. If you play because you have to (like an addiction) than you definitely need to seek help, maybe delete all your poker rooms for a while.

If there is a possibility to play poker every day, this is freedom, because no one should play out of obligation. Playing by choice is very liberating, as you should play poker when you want to play.

It's a relaxation if you don't see it as your main job

Playing poker every day usually means one of two things:
either you make a living from it, or you just have a lot of free time and truly enjoy the game.
Or maybe both — if you're lucky enough!

Well, some people play video games, others watch tv series. Winning a few dollars in a free time doesn't look bad, comparing to some other activities.

For me, playing poker every day feels like a mix of freedom and discipline. On one hand, it’s amazing to be able to sit down and play whenever I want — no boss, no fixed schedule, just the game and my decisions.
But at the same time, if you're playing seriously, it takes a lot of mental focus, emotional control, and time management. So while it might look like freedom from the outside, it really requires structure and self-control to make it work in the long run.

Honestly, the 'poker dream' of playing every day sounds like freedom until you're actually doing it. People see the big wins and the flexible hours, but they don't see the stress of a 10-session losing streak or the mental fatigue of staring at cards for 40 hours a week. To me, true freedom isn't about playing every day;it's having the bankroll and the discipline to not play when I don't feel like it

If you like it, keep it. If it troubles you, do something about it. But if you decide to take action, keep it small and be consistent.

Why play every day? You need to take a break and re-charge, just like any activity.

That said, I think lots of people under-estimate how draining playing poker full-time is and that it's not quite the fantasy job that some think it is.

In some ways it can feel like freedom, because you control your own schedule. But at the same time, poker still requires discipline and responsibility, so it’s not always as free as it seems.

> Freedom exists, but if you want to make money, you have to play when there’s money at the table.
> Poker involves sitting for 10–12 hours straight, which creates physical and mental fatigue.
> It is extremely volatile and emotionally exhausting.
> There is a lot of psychological pressure.

I agree with you. Playing poker every day for years can be very exhausting, especially mentally. Even if you love the game, the constant pressure, variance, and long sessions can drain your energy over time. Sometimes taking breaks is necessary to keep a clear mind and continue enjoying the game
