Do you think Live poker is going to disappear in the future since online poker is becoming more common, costs less money and time for owners and players?

I think both live and online have their plusses and minuses. I believe live poker won't go away. It's too popular with people who love the social experience and the feel of real chips in their hand.

No, in my opinion live poker will never disappear. Live poker is the real experience of poker and live events still are very popular.

I don't think it will go away... It might fluctuate in popularity from year to year, but dissappear: never.

I believe it won’t go totally away but I believe it will become very limited to be honest. Just look at how few places have poker in Vegas today compared to 10 years ago. While poker won’t ever die I am saddened by what the future will bring to it.

I do not think so. Live poker and online poker are actually different games. Live poker is probably the biggest contributor to the popularization of online poker, and that's why poker sites are interested in hosting grand live events.

Live poker is fkng thriving in my region. I found out today that there's an airline (JetX) that flies direct from Vegas to Austin. I'm sure they have an express to Dallas and Houston, as well. I'm willing to bet on it. Any takers? Just kidding.
There's a bill in the works for regulating sportsbetting in the state but not for poker, which is completely biased, but when you're surrounded by... Sorry. I'm going to take the high road on this one, literally. Excuse me while I kiss the sky, w/my dabber.
Okay, I'm back. There is definitely a poker buzz here in the lone star state. It seems like every other month another room is opening up or expanding. I guess that's a good sign.
I wanna thank Doug Polk and the rest of the Lodge crew for opening up the best room in the land and giving us the opportunity to show our skills and make a little $. I think their streams and promos have done the game some good.
I've been a proponent of the whole Texas poker concept for a while now. Bringing the game home and promoting it accordingly. My idea was to have belt-buckles instead of bracelets or rings to 1st place winners. I'm sure my idea will get hacked before it's over, lol. There's an old thread about it on here somewhere...

In the future, I think we won't go to the casino to play poker anymore, it's more relaxing at home

My dream is that one day we get poker legalized at the federal level.

I think that would be much better for the players.

If anything online poker will decline if advances in AI make bots and RTA software that are unbeatable.

live poker will not disappear completely, it will always be just that the number of players is getting smaller every year because you don't have to go anywhere to play online it reduces the time people need now, so there will be a lot of online players but live poker will go to major tournaments and promote poker

Perhaps soon many offline poker players will implant neurochips from Elon Musk into their brains and begin to play no worse than a solver )))

Live Poker in casinos will never be replaced with On-line Poker! Humans are social by nature and will always be on the look out for social interaction, On-line Poker is often questioned as to whether it is rigged or not, and for that reason alone their will be people who don't trust it.
Personally I don't wager much on-line as I don't trust the Hardware I can use, Computers crash, or the Internet goes down anything can go wrong. As for "Rigged" games, I don't believe the sites I play at are Rigged as they would lose too much if it was proven true.
So generally I will use On-line Poker for practice for when I play in a Live game.

if you believe that everything has its own cycle, then live poker will be less popular for a while than online poker, then everything will turn around

Live poker will always be there, maybe on a more limited area (for example some friends/coworkers playing weekends).
And also the big final tournaments will be always there

Poker is growing, and the future looks promising, every year new players appear, the hope is that better systems make it more realistic.

Personally, I've always enjoyed playing live more than the internet, but I'm one of those who played poker long before the internet, and even more so when online poker came along. Live will never go away.

Both are required because there are those who like to face the players directly and there are those who do not have the time or effort to just play behind the screen .
