Hello, friends!

Are you familiar with the poker hangover?
Tedious poker session, had often led me to this state.
Disturbed sleep, appetite is disturbed.
The head is constantly going analysis of played hands...
I learned how to fight it.
I take breaks in 2-3 days.
I also reduced the time game sessions, I try to play fewer hands and make more profit using the right table select.
How do you deal with this, I would like to hear your opinion, my friends?

No need to play through force. Will not be good results.

I agree with higher guys-really I think that break in this situation is the most right choice-I don't know anything more correct

After sitting hours at the computer playing a tournament, always thinking for hours about how to play, but I've never had trouble sleeping after playing

Hi! Sometimes 2-3 rest days a little. It is necessary to take a longer vacation. A week or two.

After a tournament I often rethink a few important hands that may have been gone wrong.

But I never experienced like disturbed sleep or appetite because of poker. But taking a break in such a situation sounds legit.

I only play for fun. Therefore, I have no such problems.
I would also take a break for 2-7 days. Many would have walked, swam in the pool and went to the gym.

Here is my experience with poker. I deposit some around 10 bucks. Start well and make them like 16 in 4 hours and think how I will make huge bankroll and I go to sleep. All night I dream about cash games huge hands and so on. The next day. I am catching the downswing and I lose all of my money. I have no way of controling my tilt.

I can be such a state. I am in this case, a psycho, I begin to doubt everything, tilt. Then I, too, pauses, trying to dismiss all thoughts near poker - it helps ...:joyman:

In the case of a downswing I use stop loss, usually 3 buy-in my working limit.

The 'hangover' is a great term for something I've been feeling since I recently started playing.

I'll play micro stakes for a few hours in the evening, have a good run and make some money. Then all I can think about it trying to make more money with those winnings, next day I have a shocking time of it, run really bad and loose all or most of what I won the previous evening. Maybe its a two day hangover for me!!

i go through peaks and valleys with poker. for a month it's all i want to do and i analyze and try to learn, then i get bored with it and end up going through the motions for 2 weeks and get wrecked. then i'm back at it again. The break is definitely a good idea. or changing up variants every once in a while (PLO, stud, etc)

After a long tournament of several hours the hangover is inevitable, a good shower and rest and we are ready to try again
