Poker: is it serious?

If you referring to poker as an occupation, then yes it is serious. On the other hand, for most it is a form of entertainment. Not sure where you're at on the spectrum, answering to family members might put you not even in the entertainment category.

Depends on what else I have on my plate any particular day. If I’m busy or have other things I should be doing I don’t take poker very seriously at all. Other times I’m all-in.

I know what I have to do to win. I know that takes time. Unfortunately I don’t often have that amount of free time.

it is interesting what you just wrote, first many relatives will not understand this sport until they know it, second, poker is a profitable game, it is impossible not to win when you study and are consistent with your solid game that you have previously shaped, keep improving and learning every day, time will prove you right.

For me, poker is a very serious hobby and hobby. I believe that poker will eventually bring me a good extra income. I'm sure of it.

In order to make a decent living at poker, successfully, you would need a minimum stake of $10,000. Yes, that's debatable among players. I made a living with poker in brick-and-mortar establishments for a few years with a $200,000 stake that I mostly lost in a non-poker related incident. All I can say is it's a rough life that eats up a great deal of your time if you plan on making it an occupation. Many ups and downs.

In fact, there is still a lot of prejudice with poker, but as you said, you don't have to prove anything to anyone.

if you dedicate study and hard work to improve your game for sure you will go far in this sport, poker is a serious sport where you can earn a lot of money, you have thousands of cases of people who have professionalized poker, you can do it and so can everyone else.

When we do what we love, even mowing the lawn can be fun.
Poker is serious, it can be a lot of fun and it can be as tragic as anything else in life. Don't be afraid, all time is gained and not spent. We always arrive at a purpose, whatever it is.

I think Im a reasonably good player,Iwouldnt try to make a living at poker,eventualy you are going to lose your bankroll even with a monster hand

Watch more tutorial videos, read strategy articles, and don't rush to play for real money, play freerolls until you realize you've learned something. Everything is real and everything will come gradually, good luck to you!

Hello, how is everything? If that's really what you love to do, go for it! To advance in gameplay, and make better decisions when it comes to poker, study, use part of your free time to study, review the hands you've played, to see what you could have done differently, to evolve.
