Poker

Of course, poker is a more intellectual game than a game of chance. But, most of all, this is a game for people with monstrous patience and iron nerves.

If you play thinking on the short term, yes it may be lottery... But professional always think on the long term! It is profitable... But you gotta play the odds, the math probabilities, not the card games

100 hand, I did a brief evaluation and found that the river destroyed me in 20 hands, 10 hands River helped me to beat the opponent when I lost, and 70 didn't change anything, statistically I don't know if it is true, but the facts are real !

If you think poker like lotery , then poker will like lotery , for example , i every poker match , you certainly win a few big pots , and lose many pots , important thing that is you have to know the right time to invest money in . if you have lucky , you will win many pots . but some people think different , they can make lucky and be winner

The only thing about poker being similar to the lottery is that it requires some luck, but even when you get lucky you have to play certain ways to maximize on your luck. Poker can be a very mental game, its not just about getting a good hand or flopping the nuts or hitting the nutz on the river, its about how you get maximum value for your best hands and how you can minimize on the big hands you lose with.

Actually the lottery is on AI's, with some hole cards having VIP tickets. But poker is a lot about psychology, while lottery is not. You can't scare a lottery ticket and persuade it to give you money when you haven't hit anything.

Poker is complete, it has a little bit of everything ... You have to be a little lucky, this refers to the lottery. But mainly you have to know and know how to play and that refers to study and practice.

I think that poker is not a lottery, the element of luck in poker does not exceed 30 percent. The rest all depends on the personal skills of each. Backgammon is more like a lottery than poker.

Poker vs Lottery

Winning an event like the wsop Main Event when the field is over 8,000 players might seem like trying to win the lottery, but your odds are much better than playing the lottery. Your odds of getting hit by lightning are greater than winning the lottery. In poker, all things being equal, the odds are around 10,000 to 1 against you. Of course there many other factors like luck, catching cards, table your seated at, quality of players at the table, etc. If you ask Phil Helmuth about poker and winning tournaments, he says that if it wasn't for luck he win all the time. Anyways, poker has better odds, although I've won more in the lottery than I've won at the tables. I once picked 5 out of 6 numbers in the lottery. The last number I need to win the jackpot was 13, my number was 11. And they say number 13 is bad luck. If I had the number 13 on that day, I would have won $13M. I still remember the numbers I picked. They were 11-23-33-43-46-54.
I was so close, yet so far.

Hello community, I do not think it is a lottery, it implies luck, but with acquired knowledge and study, discipline can be raised

Is Poker a lottery? No definitely not, Doyle Brunson Said " it is a game you can learn in 5 minutes, But takes a lifetime to master"
Is it pure luck? again No! I believe it was Barry Greenstien who said "it is 90% luck and 10% skill, but the skill level will give the better player the edge over a lucky player"
You see even World Champions have bad beats and get rivered but that is why we should all have a bankroll management system so that if we lose we will survive to play another day

Is Poker like the lottery? No as there is no skill whatsoever in the lottery. There also is no way to win the lottery without the winning #'s whereas you can win in poker with the worst hand. The similarities between the lottery and poker is luck and randomness and the format in poker that is closest to resembling that is tournament poker with large fields. But it's really not that close in comparison.

Who has a better chance of winning the person playing the lottery for the 1st time or a person who has never played poker and enters the WSOP Main Event? The new lottery player can only increase his chances by buying more tickets. There is no skill and he is simply playing the odds but he has the same odds as the field multiplied by the number of tickets purchased therefore he is playing on equal ground with his opponents. The new poker player however is playing against a massive field of experience players and professionals that have been in these situations before and have an overwhelming edge on the new player. Lottery player has a better chance.

To win a poker tournament is lucky but there are so many other factors and skills that increase the best players chances of winning. Although luck cannot be discounted its factor is diminished as our skill advantage increases.

Lottopoker

When I started poker, I really thought I was playing in a lottery; in this way, I hoped that chance would help me with my cards and they would link a good monster with the flop. After some experience and study of poker, I have realized that there is something beyond chance and it is the mathematics, logic and action of the rivals. There are many variables for a single one such as chance or lottery to influence a greater percentage in our victories.

how often did you happen to have a 100% confidence on the flop that you should win, and on the river you lose
Don't tell me, I have a list of that situation, the River is always where I lose the most when I feel that I have a 99% advantage over the rival.

For a lot of bad players, yes. But for me it's not a lottery, although it's always good to have a little luck.

100% sure that I won? I'm 100% a lot of times when I have ace high flush(by ace high I mean I have the ace or the second high card of the same colour), when I have ace high straight and there's no possibility of flush. Full house is close to 100%. I look at poker like I look at casino. Why casino always win in the end? Because they have an edge on gamblers. The same way with poker, if you play correctly, you're gonna win in the long run, no doubt.
