Poker and medicine for the brain

Do you use any medications for the brain, playing poker in order to take long sessions to get tired and be concentrated? and how mush is safe for health in your opinion?

The only thing I use is caffeine from coffee or maybe tea, and not that often. Otherwise, I will take the 5 minute break and jump into a cold shower for about a minute. That usually wakes me up and helps me refocus if it's a long day/MTT.

As I said, poker is a very good game that helps develop intuitsyyu. It helps pass the time and to be alone with pleasure.

Caffeine and stretching while playing, that's it. When I get tired to a point of needing more I usually just quit for the day.

I believe this is not the way ... mind healthy mind is free from drugs and industrial ... saw many top players "s talking about will take good care ... I do not believe that they use drugs to do well, so I think this is not the way

I've been after my doctor to give me "poker drugs" now for awhile. I tend to totally lose focus after 3 hours (live play) and we have gone through modafinil, armodafinil, focusil, and finally, today, adderal. Haven't taken an adderal yet, I guess I'll try it on Thursday, that's my day to play at Maryland Live casino.

I have found that if I burn off energy before and during a game I play better. I will hit the treadmill and the gym before a tournament. That way my physical energy has been used and my mental energy can focus on the game. At the breaks I walk around the floor or where I can at a fast pace, between hands I do some stretching if I feel I need to.
While not meditation in the traditional sense, it is a form of relaxation and focus.

In rare cases, if I sit at a computer much the head can hurt. Then I take a pill tsitramona. I do not drink coffee, only tea.

They say that chocolate does well say it helps pensar..asi arguably if I can usually buy a chocolate before starting a night in session sometimes I like to take bitter mate, that many times I help calm the headache. ... I do not drink alcohol when gambling.

Man, the drug talk is crazy. If any of you are playing so much poker that you need stimulants to stay awake and play more "You Might Have A Problem". Everyone needs to step away and eat, sleep, do other things. What about family?

Lets stick with the coffee and chocolate people.

A lot of sleep, some excercises, mind free of bad things... and it shoud be ok to have concentration during session. There is no medicine to improve inteligence

Coffee, and maybe some time exercising before sitting down to play. Other than that I try to make sure I'm fully awake and not feeling sick or having another bout of migraine so that I can be fully focused on what I'm doing.

Yes,becouse your brain must work all time,if your concentration falls on 2-3 secound you maybe losing hands or all your stake......

I would agree with most people above. If you are falling asleep, you should drink some caffeine (eg. coffee or tea). I don't think many other drugs will help you out at the poker table.

I find it dangerous to take any medication in order to play better. It must be too strong ones.
So my choice is chocolate and coffee, normally it's enough to stay concentrated.
