Many times alcohol is involved. Poker players, especially at Casino's might be at the casino for an unrelated event and play poker for enjoyment. They are not playing to earn a living. It seems to me, in fact, live poker is growing. I never thought that I would end up playing more live poker than online. 2019, I have played 90% live 10% online. I am from Pennsylvania so I am a little angry that we passed legislation and yet we are being held up from being able to play. My local Casino's on the other hand are offering incentives for being a regular. In summary, yes, Live Poker appears to be softer competition. Remember you need to be able to absorb losses because it is more of a gamble. Online Poker is great for working on your game. You can play more tables, therefore you build up more data and can evaluate your strategy. I use both. [/QUOTE]
