Poker online vs poker live

Is the level of online gaming the same as the level in live poker? I play in micro-limit online and in mid-limits live. Live is easier for me than online. Why do think that is, and do you find it to be the same for you?

I prefer online poker

I prefer online poker cause' I can play more tables at the same time and due to that I can play more hand at the end of the month and tha means more experience and I guess I can earn more money with online poker. I like live poker but I guess I just do it to spend time and have fun cause I can talk with the other players and have more fun while I play instead with online poker I just in my room just listen to music and thinking about my game.

The level of online poker is much higher than in live game! If you play (successfully) online tournaments for $ 20, then you can safely play in a live game on the poker series!

I play more often online but I much prefer poker live. The sensations are more intense.

The same thing happens to me, I play in microlimites online but in live media limits and even the level is higher online

I think that if I can overcome the high limits of online poker, then in live poker it will be much easier for me to achieve high results. the nearest casino for me is an hour so i have to play online, i find it's easier to win live and prefer live but the pros to online is lower tournaments with a better chance to make a net profit. every tourney live i go to the buy ins are 80-100 and usually only pays 5 places

Playing live is much easyer because you can see people emotions. Online you must base on paterns and softwares.

I never had a chance to play live, but I would love to try. I play while only online, there are no such institutions nearby, only in Sochi, and this is very far away.

I have never played live poker. Where I live it is not normal to have a place to play poker, so I didn't have the opportinity until now. But I think it will be more difficult that playing online, since we can not tell our cards with our face, and it is kind of difficult to me.

Both of them have their pros and cons and requires one o read tells differently. I have had more success playing live though. However, I like the face that you can turn a small buy-in into a sizable amount online - although playing poker for 6 plus hours in no picnic! Playing live can also be a drag if you are not catching cards or have good people at your table because you fold a lot - although the conversation kind of makes up for it and online you can play many tables not to mention Zoom .

It all depends on the situation where you play and with whom, but I think playing live is much more interesting and easier.

I live in California, so I have no choice but to play for real money at the local casinos; which the intensity of the live games are more extreme than the on-line poker. But once playing for real money on-line comes back to California then I compare the two. One thing for sure I do enjoy more being at home playing on-line than driving on traffic to get to the local casinos.

I've been hearing for a while how much easier live is than online. It's a bit surprising that this is still the case. You'd think that people would flock to live play if it is easier. I'd love to play live, but I just don't have the money for it.

Live Poker is more fun and easier in my opinion

Online poker is more about strategy and patience because of MTT (multi table)

I like online poker now because I can chose when to play. Also I can decide the stakes I want to play, and how many games.

There are many different tables and tournaments in online games. I think this is a big plus. But an interesting game seems to me - live. More emotions.

This is becoming a common question and there are many reasons. I think it is almost 2 different "games". Because poker sites online have faced criticism for raising rake, taking away player benefits, not working to stop "bots" and a long list of complaints, that have basically been ignored by the largest companies. There are no longer 1 or 2 main sites that everyone has an account on and play daily. The action has been spread around and players actively search for "best' games instead of just playing their main site. In my opinion- this has made the online "game" of poker much tougher to keep a consistent win rate. The micro-stakes "rake" has played a role in this too. (I want to say, I believe there are positive aspects of online poker. I am only stating negative for this answer)

Live Poker , on the other hand, involves many more recreational players. Many times alcohol is involved. Poker players, especially at Casino's might be at the casino for an unrelated event and play poker for enjoyment. They are not playing to earn a living. It seems to me, in fact, live poker is growing. I never thought that I would end up playing more live poker than online. 2019, I have played 90% live 10% online. I am from Pennsylvania so I am a little angry that we passed legislation and yet we are being held up from being able to play. My local Casino's on the other hand are offering incentives for being a regular.

In summary, yes, Live Poker appears to be softer competition. Remember you need to be able to absorb losses because it is more of a gamble. Online Poker is great for working on your game. You can play more tables, therefore you build up more data and can evaluate your strategy. I use both.

I'd love to play live, but I'm shy to play yet.
