if you are really good, you will need backers to support your entry fees, then when you reach that level, i would consider it a job.

It is a hard job. You will need to play many hours almost all the days in the week. Pro online players plays all Saturdays and Sundays, because the tables are full of recreative week players.
You will have to deal with disapproval and Judgmental looks from family members who think you're too lazy to have a real job.
You'll have to learn to deal with the bad times, where you can dedicate dozens of hours to work and lose money in the end.
That said, if you really want this, study a lot and try to take advantage of the learning from every hand you play.
You'll work hard, but with luck, you can make enough money.

To make the switch you probably should be crushing the games you play over a very large sample size and you probably want to start out being overrolled.

Invest in studying the game thoroughly, understanding the strategies, probabilities, and reading your opponents.

First you need a lot of money, then you can play big tournaments and be able to make a living from poker.

Patrick Leonard wrote that you can make good money, and I agree with that.

I think the only way to have poker as a job is to work within the field, either as a dealer, as a teacher, or participating in some group of players who are already profitable.I personally have been trying for the last six years to live solely from gambling and I still can't, even though I dedicate myself a lot, it is necessary to have control of Bank roll and extra income so that you can live while doing it

Everyone would love a job like that, but I say you should have a solid bankroll before making poker a job.

If you're not under a sponsorship contract (paid to play).
You have to either be comfortably well off and have money in the bank or you have to live day to day scrounging and scraping by with poker being your life.
All are awkward positions to be in.
I will stick with it as a pass time.
Not sponsored, comfortable but no money in bank and I'm not intending on living just for poker.

Patience and more discipline, I suppose. I'm on the same path anyway, so I can't give you any feasible advice, but stay strong, brother.

I'm curious. Could you share what you have done so far to start playing professionally?

Hi :)
Perhaps you lack motivation, perhaps perseverance, or perhaps you simply set the wrong goals. There can be many different reasons why you are not yet a professional player. I think you can answer this question yourself if you are willing to analyse your path.

I'm going to be honest with you, that's my greatest desire to be able to dedicate myself 100% to playing poker and I'm not going to rest until I do it, I want to prove to myself that it's not like most people think it's a card game that's a game of chance, it's not about that it has much more complexity and within that complexity it looks much more than it's not for everyone, because many people are attracted to poker just for money and I feel that it's the part that's a little dark and you don't sell it from the angle that everything What can he teach you outside of what he can give you because money and I feel that that one is additional is given to him by the same player as such

You will only be considered a professional poker player when all your bills are paid through poker, so if you don't have the time and certainty to face all of this and dedicate yourself to the maximum, it's not the time yet.
