I think I might be a Poker Sociopath:(:(:(

What are the traits of sociopathy?

The list of common traits you might see in someone who has antisocial personality disorder, says Dr. Coulter, include:
  • Not understanding the difference between right and wrong.
  • Not respecting the feelings and emotions of others.
  • Constant lying or deception.
  • Being callous.
  • Difficulty recognizing emotion.
  • Manipulation.
  • Arrogance.
  • Violating the rights of others through dishonest actions.
  • Impulsiveness.
  • Risk-taking.
  • Difficulty appreciating the negative aspects of their behavior.
I often find myself demonstrating such behavior especially in this little hobby. So is this a fisshy behavior? Or is Sociopath play actually a viable poker strategy? How many pro's are Sociopaths? Oh my god I am in Jeff foxworthy moment "You might be a sociopath if you Trap with Trips."

So how is this behavior working for you in poker?

Are you getting the results you want?

Only sociopaths can trap with trips? Interesting...

Just asking - but not really expecting an answer because you are a self-declared sociopath! lol

Good luck !

Yea you are right. But it is interesting how your base behaviors can change when you get in a game. I find my Poker play is a direct correlation to focus. There are some things on the list that actually are quite relevant to the game.

Better to be a cold-blooded poker player than a poker sociopath. After all, a cold-blooded person makes timely decisions in a premeditated situation.

Yes - a real sociopath doesn't choose their behavior.

They are locked into their behavior for better or worse.

A skilled poker player assesses the situation at hand and uses optimal tools to win the most chips.

Interesting, it seems like common trait for most poker players.

This is interesting, and how does it affect your game and your results?
If you earn at least $ 1,000 a month, then I would also like to become a sociopath. :)

If you can ask if you're a sociopath, then you're probably not a sociopath. It's just a game.
