Hello guys,

I would like to know your opinion. What do you think How technology influence live poker? Is there any difference versus the eighties? Of course, we have an online poker. But I mean live poker, casino game.

poker is evolving as technology is evolving, today the new players use a lot of ODD CALCULATORS, the players from before did not

Poker is drastically different than the 80's even from 2000 the game has evolved with the use of technology as training tools alone.

I feel that technology influences live games in a distraction way. When there is lots going on around you it takes away from the interpersonal one on one play and table reading that normally should occur with live poker. I know the OP says of course their is online poker as if to dismiss this but I want to raise an important point...

Online poker is a completely different style of play. If you are a player who plays online and live then I feel that online poker can most defiantly effect you live play. You may base your decisions more on numbers and statistics as opposed to just playing some straight up live poker. I noticed small differences when I went from playing live, to online and back to live. My thought process was different. Sometimes it was a good thing and sometimes it was a bad thing.

Early players were easier to play if they had their own gift for the game. Now it's harder to compete with young players. There are many auxiliary programs. With their help it is easier to adjust the game.

The technology helps a lot, however in certain points it can be detrimental, there are numerous players that are profitable but do not know how to play without the support software.
