Question:

I’ve recently noticed on PokerStars that some players have a star below their image. Does anybody know what this is? I once asked a player who had one and they told me it is because they eared 1k during the month, but they were playing at a microstakes table. If I earned $1000 in one month I probably would no be playing the microstakes tables.

That is the rating
Poker stars has brought in ranks, bronze silver gold and one more
its when you have a cash account with poker stars and the points you earn go towards the rank
I am bronze
you can choose to show or hide your ranking
It is NOT because they earn 1000 its because they have between 1-25 points,,,
Dont believe everything you hear at a table.. its all in the news about the new ranking.
I hope this helped
