It doesn't matter what do you believe about luck and variance. Indeed, you need them both; play you A, B or C game; coolers and bad beats are going to happen.

I think poker is a game where you learn something new every time you play. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you have no idea why you made that call.
For me, the fun part is trying to understand the game better and making fewer stupid decisions next time.
