This kind of proves how sharkscope is meaningless if you're going to use it to evaluate how good someone is. This guy, thenut21, has nothing to prove, he's a terrific player, ranked very high as was also said by stormswa. You certainly don't make it HU in a big field, huge buy-in tournament, like he did, just with luck. Actually, it took lots of bad luck to lose the HU the way he did, getting dealt KK while your opponent is dealt AA. That is sick to say the least, and I'm quite sure PS is not very proud about this finish, although its not their fault. And here is something else that many probably don't know: in the beginning of this FT, he was also dealt KK, and he called an all-in raise PF by another player, who had A8. The board brought an A, and he lost a 1.5mil+ pot, getting shortstacked in the process. This when table was still 9-handed. Can you imagine making it to a FT and having KK cracked twice? Just the fact he made the comeback after taking that first blow and still managed to get to HU speaks volumes of his ability. This guy is a very, very solid player.
Whatever happened after that, his multitabling 5k HU matches while in tilt after having lost a lot of money in such a fashion, can't really take anything away from him. He made the mistake of not taking a couple days off, I guess. A lot was also made of his refusing to any deal on FT, but I don't have a problem with that either if he feels he's the better player. If you think you have a great chance to win the whole thing, why accept a deal? All I can say is that I'd love to trade his sharkscope stats with mine, if the trade also incudes me having his skill level. People can call him greedy, arrogant or whatever they like, but bottom line he is a great NLHE player, which is kind of getting forgotten. All this, needless to say, w/o taking away anything from player who actually won the SM.
