When it comes to this, you have to be very careful to get a specific kind of prepaid Credit Card. Keep in mind that there are different companies that issue them and are available at different stores.
For me, I bought a prepaid $100 All Access Visa Card and used it on PS on 09/26. It comes in a silver package.
I'm not sure if they still work, but I have a friend who used them in the past and was about to reload today, so I'll update this later and let you know.
