I'm sure I'm going to look silly asking but what exactly does it mean calling someone a donkey. :eek: Is it just a derogatory comment toward bad players or something else. People use slang terms but they don't always mean the same thing to one person as another...

so just some clarification please
thank you

It's a term for a bad player who is just throwing money around with no idea what they are doing.

It's most often used by other bad players who are frustrated that a slightly worse player drew out on them, but some good players use it too.

perhaps less derogatory would be someone who makes a donk move, which might be defined as a move that has little initial chance of success but as we have all seen, bear out in the end.

Generally directed towards a player that has NO chance of winning the hand but stays until the end anyway.

Usually I find it well directed at the player who only knows how to hit the all-in button on any tournament they happen to be in.

A.K.A = Jackass.

I've noticed that, to some riduculously bad players, a donkey is anyone who remains at a table after they have busted out due to poor play. Go figure.:rolleyes:
