you can make a profit at low cash game limits if you let's say you earn 5 doubles per day for a month, but it's very difficult

Yes, you can win money at low levels, but to win good prizes you have to play big tournaments.

This year I made a good profit playing micro, but to be professional, you need many more daily games

Profits at low levels?.. Hm, I think, this is understand clear, that profit on low levels will a small anyway... And in this case Everyone decides self,
more quickly to climb up on more hi limit, or remain on more low level yet, protecting own bankroll from possible inpredictable downstreak...
The all is individually! That's all!

Yes, it's possible to make money over the long term at low stakes.

The profit depends on the game format, on your technical level, on the volume ( there's a difference between a player who plays 20 tournaments per month and a player who plays 500 ).

Many players think it's difficult to make money at low stakes, but if we work our game well and if we adopt a good strategy, we can surely make a profit on a good volume of play.

Good luck!

In my opinion if you whant to make money on poker, then you need to focus on climbing the limits, because it's not reasonable to play on microlimits for a long time in any sense. So yes, it is possible to have profiits on microlimits, but no need to focus on them too much, if you see that you play on profits you need to try a bit higher limits and have your chances there.

Everyone starts somewhere, grows in limits, so of course you can achieve success at different limits.

According to many articles and videos from experienced poker players, microlimits, both in cash and in tournaments, and other various modalities are only there to understand how to play better and by beating this level, we can go up to low, medium, and then high levels (if we reach to be a winning player at those levels).

I don't think it's profitable to be able to sustain your living expenses by playing microlimits. Although that also depends on the country you live in because there are places like Latin America that with a salary of $500 you can afford your monthly expenses calmly. That cannot happen in European or Asian countries, I think.

In my opinion, the microlimits are to be beaten and then level up according to the cash boxes you have or the buyns you have for tournaments.

Postscript: Greetings and apologies for my previous comment that was in Spanish, I thought that in this community there was an automatic translator, as I understand it. From now on I will try to Google Translate to English and then paste here.

At lower limits, a bankroll is built. At higher limits, you need to play very carefully.

It all depends on you, on your attitude towards the game and discipline. All of this together will yield results.

from my mediocre experience I tell you that the bankroll always gives you the best answers. Many times I reached 2-3 dollars after depositing something before, the next day I started from the bottom going progressively all the way up reaching many times to put in 50% of the bankroll doubling I took courage and didn't stop until 00.00😵😵😵. I also had a by in around $50. The first time the bankroll management then when you sit well take a step forward while you are comfortable.
Good luck

Yes and have done. Playing $2 sit & goes was my go to when I first started playing. Cash at Microstakes can be tough. Not necessarily for the standard of play, but more for variance.

Yes one can win at the micro/low stakes. I'm doing it right now building up my cash bankroll after playing MTT's for a many years or not playing at all. I started with $50 and at 2nl full ring games on Pokerstars. I don't get too play very much but I've already in just over 17k hands I'm up too $102 and have moved up to 5nl already. Over them 17k hands I haven't had the deck exactly thrown at me...I took downswings 1 day for $18. Fact is I didn't find 2nl that tough.

You won't make much at micro stakes like others have said micros are meant to be beat, build a bankroll and move up. I also wouldn't recommend the bankroll management I'm using either as I'm using a pretty short bankroll too what's recommended. But I can easily afford it as well so I short bankroll doesn't affect my play. I believe for cash the recommended bankroll is 50 buy-ins and for Tournys it's a 100 buy-ins. I'm using 25 buy-ins(jumped to 5nl with less). As I move up I plan to reach 50 buy-ins for a bankroll as the competition gets tougher.

Cheers!!!

You can learn a lot at the lowest levels and if you put what you have learned into practice, with a lot of patience, you could start to earn enough money to start playing in tournaments with higher buy-ins, it is important to level up if you want the check to grow too .

You can achieve some very good ROIs at the micro/small stakes sngs. I think the issue, depending on where you can play is.... can you get enough volume in to have an hrly that you are happy with.

Poker is a very interesting game. I'm playing for fun. We must understand that only a few players can win really big money.

Anything in poker is possible. It is Ying and Yang, give and take, win and lose. It's really about which side of the chip you're going to land on today.
To be able to live on poker take's a substantial roll and a lot of patience to make the right play at the right time EVERYTIME. There's no room for mistakes, or at least not very many.
I've had to learn, very quick, how to overcome an ugly beat or a bluff that I let get thru because I didn't bet the turn and they wind up making it on the river... Because, in my case, it's the mental part of it that used to get to me. Once I realized that I can't control other players, even w/a super-agg style, and accept what I can do to help the chips find their way to my stack my game took off and I haven't looked back; other than to re-read some books and articles, watch some live-streams and small analytical vids.
My biggest advice is to not get greedy. Buy in what you can afford to lose and pick your spots carefully. Keep your eye on everyone at the table and don't give anything away. After that it's know-how and luck.
