So good players, with decent table selection can expect to make somewhere between 8 - 10 bb/100 hands after rake on 2 NL. This will net you the following profit: 9bb/100 = 0.02 * 9 = 0.18 $ every 100 hands. So if you play 18000 hands, you can multiply this number by 18000/100 = 180: [B]180 * 0.18 = 32.4 $.[/B] This can of course vary, and a few of the right maniacs will probably be able to make some months much much more profitable, but given enough time a player should expect to make around that much on average given those amount of games. So 5 NL, with the same conditions will net you the following every month(9bb, 18000 hands): [B]180 * 0.45 = 81 $[/B] 10 NL: Same conditions, maybe around 6 bb instead to make it more reasonable. [B]180 * (6 * 0.10) = 108 $[/B] So what can you take away from this? Well, making a living off of microstakes would take a whoooole lot of time. You would have to up the volume while maintaining the same skill level multiple times over just to make minimum wage. What you could also take away from this: If you do good at the microstakes, which is for sure possible, you will be able to slowly but surely build your bankroll while hopefully becoming a better player a long the way. This will allow you to take healthy stabs at higher limits, which will potentially allow you to make more money. This is obviously only meant for Cash Games, Tournements is a whole different beast with much more variance involved. I can only imagine depending on tournaments for income would be stressful...
