Proper Behaviour

What kind of behaviour should I use on a poker table?
* Be everyone's best friend, play cheerful and make jokes...
* Annoy others and take advantage of their anger and thereby make money
* Do not interact much with other players...

I played a PS $1.10 PL 5 card Draw tourney on PS last evening and there was a guy there who continually blasted away with foul language and insensitive comments. When he busted out it even got worse, but I won't shear what he said. What i don't understand is why PS has not banned him from chat and possibly suspending his ability to play. I assume all the chat is monitored and am puzzled in this case.

I don't think you should be rude and annoy people. That doesn't belong to poker etiquette in my opinion. I'm not saying you should be their best friend either but act nice and respect others. Be a human being. You don't have to change your personality there so just be yourself. And when it comes to moneymaking, just play better than everyone else.

Online is a Wild West anyway so it's hard to keep it cool there. You see horrible language a lot but I agree that worst should definitely be banned if they go too far. They can't monitor all the chats all the time so make a report about that if you already haven't. If you go through customer service site, you find a place to do that. They check it out and hopefully give him a ban to chat after that.

I like to be cheerful and make jokes,it`s in my nature.I think there has been a few times where someone didn`t shove because they didn`t want to lose the `funny` guy at the table.(it`s rare,but it happens)

I think online and live have different expectations. Online, I don't talk unless someone else is talking. At that point, I play the game of "amplifier." If they are kind, fun, and happy. I respond in a kind, fun, and happy manner. If they are angry or upset, I respond in a way that makes them even angrier. Just because they tend to play worse. Most of the time, I don't chat. Most people don't these days.

Live, is a much more social experience. I just be myself and talk about normal stuff. I don't talk about poker strategy, at all, unless it's to make it seem like I don't know what I am doing. I don't make jokes or try and be a clown, I just talk to people like they're normal people that I want to have a conversation with.

The best way to module my strategy is not to show the cards that i am playing. Paying attention to every detail of the table, you'll become more respected when you make all win moves.

I think that the game at the table must correspond to poker etiquette, and of course with jokes and joys, fun and interesting to play.

At online poker I don't use the chat, I try to focus on the game and read other players strategy. Be humble and don't tease others even if they play bad you need to keep calm that's very important in my opinion..

I play 6 tables, usually I do not have time to read a chat and write there ...

If you have time to communicate with players - then you are bored during the game and a lot of free time. Just open another couple of tables - the problem will be solved..

I prefer not to use the chat because I type too slowly to respond on a timely basis...no point answering a player chat 5 minutes later. If I chat, I cannot pay attention to others' play. Quite often, I use my tablet, so I cannot chat....that's better for me anyway.

It all depends on the mood, sometimes there is simply no desire to write in the chat! Or when I'm tired, I also do not write in the chat (just pay more attention to the game itself), but in any case the first place is your goal, and all methods are good))))

It doesn't hurt to talk at live games to fish for information about a person; how long have they been playing, what kind of player are they but. Don't be a douche at the table though, respect the other players and the game.

Winding ppl up to try to win more would be wrong in my opinion, some ppl play to win money and some play to relax or socialise. I think that being polite and making it enjoyable for others is good for the game, and you if there a terrible player, we all like a fish or 2 [emoji6]

It's best to be yourself. If you're a miserable person in real life than by all means be miserable on chat. I usually keep to myself because people will take the most innocent comment the wrong way and than not shutup for the rest of the game. Sometimes it's fun to watch the chat though.
