In the article "How poker makes you a better investor", which deals with the psychological problems that arise in investing and in the game of poker has selected five common psychological errors inherent in the game and investment:
1. Greed
2. Overconfidence
3. Regret
4. Seeing patterns
5. Holding on to losers

Dear players, what for you are inherent psychological mistakes that you make in poker? How do you compete with them?

My main error
1 - not the ability to finish the game in time (feel tired, you still continue to play).
2 - do not care (often distracted)
Maybe them and more on itself but looking from the side I see is these two.
The whole struggle with them is reduced to attempts to forcibly bring himself to move away from the computer. And in the second case - trying to force himself not to get distracted from the game. I leave the room where no one has, not turn on the TV, try not to answer the phone during the game.

The main thing - to be able to control the excitement. If you can - half the work done.

tilt is my biggest issue. and not negative tilt, but positive. I make a couple of hero calls and cooler someone and all of a sudden i think i am unbeatable then revert back to the mean. It's a leak because i end up making bad plays because i assume I always have the nuts while on a stretch of run-good.

Youre not alone... I tend to tilt when i have played for a long time (hours). I know that is my weakness and try to think about it... maybe it will be better in time. But i wonder... is there anyone that have any advice how to overcome this problem?

Tilting from over-excitement can be just as detrimental as tilting from bad beats, Keep yourself in check when doing well and when doing poorly to maximise profits

All 5 of the common psychological errors described in the article "How Poker Can Make You a Better Investor". The article was written by Bob Frick for Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine.

I'm nothing came up!
