I was in a game that went heads up with me having AK vs QQ.
Quads came up on the board and I won the pot. A kicker vs Q kicker.
QQ went ballistic over the loss. A poker hand is the best 5 cards, not the best 4 cards.

If we were playing bad beat jackpot, would that had qualified?

That is nice to see, especially when you have the best kicker.
According to the Official Bad Beat Rules of several poker rooms, if either or both players have quads, the player(s) with quads must have a pocket pair. So, there is no chance of a tie.

Just recently had a quad. Had a pair of nines and right on the flop two more nines popped up. But just my luck, no one wants to join in on that hand 😕.

You had a premium hand so your opponent shouldn't have gone mad, so if you lost then there would have been a reason to go mad, ha ha ha.

It happened to me when I started playing. This was on FB where no money was involved. QQ vs A9. Dude makes runner runner quads. An ace rules supreme in such a situation.
