At a 9 player table, if I'm holding an ace (and lets say no one else has one) what are the odds that the flop will bring an ace ? Thanks

By your scenario, 9 players dealt 18 cards (34 left).
(3) A's left in the deck, assuming no one else has one.
And (3) chances to hit your outs otf.

So I think it would look like this:

[(3/34) * 3] = 26.5%


Someone who is better at math may tell you I'm wrong tho.

Well it's actually:

1 - ((31/34)*(30/33)*(29/32)) = 24.9%

But assuming no-one else has one is crazy, over 1/3 of the deck is in your opponents hands.

That makes sense. Though, 4/13 (less than 1/3) of the deck is in our opponents hands.

Pointless question, you should ask the odds including all the cards available.

When would this ever be practical?
